About the Collection
The Golf Hole Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring individual golf holes for their outstanding qualities in the areas of (1) Strategy, (2) Enjoyment, (3) Memorability,
It is our mission to consider nominations of golf holes worthy of being permanently displayed and archived within the Hall of Fame and its programs. The Golf Hole Hall of Fame relies on proceeds from materials provided to inductees to further its mission and administer the collection.
(4) Aesthetics, and (5) Acclaim.
Legendary inductees include golf holes renowned throughout the world that have achieved the highest recognition among golfers and, in the opinion of the Review Panel, possess the highest qualities of strategy, enjoyment, memorability, aesthetics, and acclaim.
Honorary inductees include golf holes that have achieved high status within a region or category of golf course and, in the opinion of the Review Panel, possess a high quality and combination of strategy, enjoyment, memorability, aesthetics, and acclaim.
Nominations are open to courses worldwide and are accepted throughout the year. Nominated golf holes are evaluated by a Review Panel comprised of professional golfers, golf writers, golf and travel executives, and members of national and regional golf associations. Panel members provide reviews individually with reviews held anonymously between panel members.
The Golf Hole Hall of Fame is not associated with a periodical or media company. Panel members are selected to provide diverse, professional and unbiased evaluations of nominated golf holes subject to the criteria established for admission to the Golf Hole Hall of Fame. The Golf Hole Hall of Fame is a permanent collection of golf holes, each selected for their outstanding qualities. In the event that a golf hole is significantly altered following induction, or may no longer exist, the Golf Hole Hall of Fame reserves the right to provide qualifying information concerning the inductee.
